Picasso said, "Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life." This is so true for me.  In a world of personal unrest, political discord and international suffering, the creative process brings me balance, fulfillment and healing.   I am nurtured by the flicker of a creative spark, the image of a work in progress and the memory of art materials in my studio actively awaiting my return. 

Just as I am uplifted and sustained by the creative process, my goal as an artist is to bring joy, serenity and balance to the viewer.  I fill my creations with harmony, light and vitality.  Working in watercolor, acrylics, mosaics and mixed media, my distinctive style is characterized by a rich sense of color, balanced designs, repetitive patterns and joyful images.  Having spent many years traveling and painting throughout the world, I am inspired by nature, beauty and spirituality.   From the gentle rhythm of the Tuscan countryside to the majesty of the California coastal redwoods to the surreal images of dreams, my work strives to capture and recreate the beauty I see.
